Rally Conventions LLC ("Rally," "we," "us") operates the Rally Conventions mobile app and the website at rallyconventions.com. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

What we collect

Account & profile

• Email address and password (used to create and secure your account)
• Display name and username
• Profile photo (optional)
• Short bio and convention interests (optional)

App activity

• Conventions you mark as attending
• Schedule events you save and personal reminders you set
• Friends you add and their online presence within the app
• Rally posts (fan meetup posts) you create
• Packing checklist and personal notes you write
• Direct messages you send through the app

Device & technical

• Push notification token (to deliver panel reminders you set)
• Device type and operating system version
• App events for product analytics (e.g., screens visited, features used) -collected in aggregate and not sold

We do not collect precise location, payment card data, or government-issued identifiers.

Why we collect it

• To provide the service -your profile, schedule, friends list, messages, and posts are the core features of the app.
• To deliver notifications -push tokens are used only to send reminders you explicitly set or alerts you opt into.
• To improve Rally -aggregate analytics help us understand which features are useful and where the app can be better.
• To keep the community safe -Rally posts are reviewed by an automated moderation system before they are publicly visible.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data to serve third-party advertising.

Third-party services

Rally uses the following services to operate. Each acts as a data processor under our instructions:

• Supabase -database, authentication, and file storage
• Stream -direct messaging infrastructure
• Expo -push notification delivery
• PostHog -product analytics (anonymized event data)
• Vercel -website hosting

We do not share your data with any other third parties except where required by law.

Data retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all personal data (profile, schedule, posts, friendships, messages, and notes) is permanently deleted within 30 days. Aggregate analytics data that cannot be tied back to you may be retained longer.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access -request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Delete -request deletion of your personal data (GDPR Art. 17, CCPA)
• Correct -update inaccurate information in your profile
• Object or restrict -limit how we process your data in certain circumstances

The fastest way to delete your account and all associated data is through the app: Settings → Delete Account. You can also email stephen@rallyconventions.com and we will process your request within 30 days.

Children

Rally is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notice or email. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
